1. Your account
You're responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password safe. You must be at least 13 to use Knovelty; chat, Discover and leaderboards are only available from age 16. Your account can only be signed in on one device at a time — signing in elsewhere asks you to sign out the other device.
2. Your content
You own the quizzes, questions and textbooks you create. Only quizzes can be shared: by making a quiz public you let other users view, duplicate and update copies of it within Knovelty. Textbooks cannot be shared for free.
3. Selling textbooks and copyright
Any plan can publish a free or paid textbook in the Store. Owners control the price and can unpublish listings without removing access from people who already acquired them. Buyers get read-only access and may not copy, print, share or resell a textbook. Every textbook is automatically checked against paid textbooks; a textbook that shares 30 or more identical lines (or most of its wording) with a paid textbook is blocked for breaking our copyright guidelines and can only be deleted. Repeated violations may lead to suspension.
4. Refunds
Paid textbook purchases can be refunded by the seller within 14 days, as described in our Refund Policy. Buyers provide their full name and student ID for paid purchases; free textbooks need no buyer details.
5. Credits, ads and plans
Free accounts receive up to 25 daily credits used to start quizzes and AI features (for example YouTube textbooks, file uploads and question generation, priced by size and number of questions — 5 credits per 20 questions, up to 150 questions per file). Credits can be earned by watching up to 3 ads per day, or bought through Paystack. Subscriptions renew until cancelled. Credits are non-transferable. Each account has 1 GB of storage.
6. Competitions
Hosting competitions requires a Pro or Enterprise plan. Entry fees are paid in credits; prizes go to the top 3 by score and speed. Cheating, leaving a quiz mid-way or sharing answers can lead to disqualification. Cash-prize competitions go live only after the prize is paid.
7. Acceptable use
Don't upload illegal, hateful, or infringing content. Don't try to break, scrape, or abuse the service. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
8. Disclaimers
Knovelty is provided "as is" without warranties. We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee uninterrupted service.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of Knovelty after changes means you accept the new terms.
